Krishna Bharadwaj to perform 2 plays at KalaGhodha Festival
Krishna Bharadwaj done lead and pivotal roles in TV soaps like Jasuben Jatantilal Joshi Ki Joint Family, Kasak, Sukh by Chance and R.K Laxman ki Duniya. He felt that innate urge to do something really creative and what better opportunity than to work with a stalwart theatre director like Sunil Shanbhag and talented theatre actors who are part of the play series.
Krishna Bharadwaj is playing two characters. He discloses, “I play Devdutt in the play Hayvadan by Girish Karnad. I play an intelligent Brahmin whose wife fancies Devdutt’s friend Kapil for his physique. In a magical series of events, Devdutt’s and Kapil’s heads get interchanged and then the fight and dilemma unfurls.”
Talking about his second play, he elaborates, “Next character is from the play Indrajeet. It’s again a woman’s life span shown that how boring a wife’s life becomes boring after marriage and all the struggle a couple goes through in a marriage. Here play the character Amal Tagline is Dampati Jampati Jaipati.”
