Preetika Rao, the Beintha girl, is quite excited about her new short  film Metro Mulaqat, which is part of the Reliance My Metro My Story competition. "I play a girl meets her guy (Yunus) during a metro ride. However she leaves him to pursue her career. But she is not able to forget him and once she gets where she wants to be, she again asks him to meet her at the same metro station, where they had first met, and proposes to him. Interestingly, he also gets a ring and is about to pop the question himself .”

 

Preetika likes the short film concept for it allows her the liberty to change her image.“ On TV one has to only wear those  types of costumes, which the character demands.  But here I get a chance to be different,  my character looks cute in short outfits. Even in real life I only  wear western and modern  outfits.”

 

Although Preetika’s  film has got maximum number of views so far, she is keeping he fingers crossed “For only those films, which get most votes, will win.  And many  people  while  watching  might forget to press the vote button.  So I hope the organizers give due credit to the number of views logged in  as well.”

 

In closing Preetika, who will also be seen in another festival short film, says her fans wait to see her back on the small screen will soon be over, with her new show set to go on floors soon. "Till then watch and vote for my current short  film and regard it as a teaser. You aint seen anything yet. I will surprise you with a completely  different avatar than Aalia (Beintha).”
