Surbhi Jyoti  of Qubool Hai fame, who will soon be seen in a completely different avatar in Star Plus thriller Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai, is very reticent about her private  life. She was first involved with Punjabi actor Zoravar Singh and is now rumoured to be in a relationship with Qubool Hai co-star Varun Tookey. Incidentally Varun did not last long in the show but still managed to win Surbhi’s heart.  

 

When we asked Surbhi about it she refused to comment saying "I am least concerned about what people say. They have no  right to judge me or my personal life. Being an  actor I  am open to comments about my screen work only. No one has to right  to ask me who I am meeting or what I am eating". 
 

She did not directly deny the link up, but tried to deflect by calling the link up news as 'mere rumours'. Talking about Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai she says "It is not a normal paranormal /  reincarnation show but something completely different. One of the main reason for doing it was that my character Geetanjali is so unlike me. She is a girl whose tragic past has  come back to haunt her. "

Surbhi deliberately took a year off after her three year long stint in Qubool Hai ended “ I needed time off and plus if you remember I also  played a small cameo in Star Plus show Ishqbaaz as well.”

 

Looking ahead, she is also open to wearing a bikini on screen “It all boils down to what the character demand. I don’t want to put unnecessary  restrictions on what I should do or not to.” She also dismissed fan anger about certain demure TV bahus (Nia Sharma & Rubina Dilaik) donning bikinis on social media. “This is a free country, we each  have freedom to do what as we please. As for fans do we come and tell them what to wear or not wear. They need to understand what we show on screen is our character and has no connection to our real life persona. Again no one has right to judge anyone.”

 

Besides Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai she will also soon be seen in a web series with hottie Barun Sobti called Tanhaiyan.
