Cant confirm if Hamari Bahu Rajnikanth is going off air - Riddhima Pandit
Ridhima Pandit, who made her small screen debut with Life OK show Hamari Bahu Rajnikanth, is playing politically correct when asked about her show coming to end.“ I cant say anything till my producer (Sonali Jaffar) tells me the same officially". If Rajnikanth does goes off air, I will start choosing fresh projects. I have already been offered a few, since the news of the show going off air started circulating. I am also interested in doing Marathi films being a Maharashtrian myself.”
When asked as to what went wrong with Rajnikanth, which began well, but soon petered out, she replied " It is really difficult to say, but yes the change of male lead (Karan Grover made way for Raqesh Vashisth) mid- stream certainly did not help matters. Having said that we managed to last around a year, which is no mean feat at a time when shows are shutting down in a matter of months.”
Talking about her acting she says, “It was fun for I got to play a large number of characters, normally a lead girl doesn’t get that opportunity.”
Was it a relief not to play the crying bahu? "In a way that is more easy to play. I have no regrets for this show has made me known. My parents are very proud of me, what more can one ask for. Agreed TV is tough, but I have just started, so bring it on", she ended
