On the burning question of whether Pakistani artistes should be allowed to work in Bollywood, this grandniece of veteran superstars Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar said “Although the artists community in India and Pakistan has very little to do with terrorism, if the govt takes any decision in our interest, we should support it.”
Will you work in Pakistan in the future if offered? “No, if it hurts people back home. Agreed art is universal but we need to be sensitive to what is happening on the border. We are Indians after all.”
When asked about a ban on Pakistani artists, Sayyeshaa said "It is sad for the films in question. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees etc were made before the current Indo- Pak tension started and lot of efforts have been put in. Having said that they are doing what they are doing due to some unfortunate circumstances."
