Sometimes TV actors go over board in their attempt to appear cool. Take Veebha Anand of Balika Vadhu�(Sugna). Her PR team recently circulated a press release talking about her bold look. It is fine to wear short dresses to look hep, but do you need to harm yourself by smoking to do so. 
Agreed, the ciggarette is not lighted, but it is not a healthy thing to promote. Plus you also need to understand that many of your fans might start smoking thinking it is the way to be uber cool.
