5 Facts about Naman Shaw

Known for his stint in Kasamh Se, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagi Kay,Kasturi, Kairee, Khushiyon Kii Gullak Aashi and Piya Rangrezz, he has definitely come a long way. Here in an up-front conversation with us, he divulges 5 details about him…

Bond with Amruta and Himmanshoo…
Ohh they are one beautiful couple. I have known Amruta and Himmanshoo since 11 years. We all came to Mumbai through a reality show ‘Cinestar Ki Khoj’ and were roommates for 6 years. We have seen our highs and lows together and have seen each other’s struggling days. We are one family. Since I never use to go to Kolkata, all my cousin sisters used to send me Rakhi and Amu used to tie all of those Rakhis on my wrist and that’s how she became my Rakhi sister. Those 6 years were the best days of my life. We used to have a blast and were always partners in crime.

Story behind your distinctive name…

If you write my name in any language of the world, forward orbackward, it will be N-A-M-A-N.There's no curious story behind it but I would like to say ‘Teen akshar ka meranaam, ultapultaeksamaan’.

Hobbies you enjoy to indulge in…
I would like to give credit to Abhinav Kapoor, who inspired me to take the first step towards fitness. I think because of him, that fitness bug bite me. Now I go to gym 5 days in a week in the morning and I am able to flaunt my well maintained biceps. When I don’t work out, I eat healthy and try to use stairs instead of elevator. I love travelling too. Once I had my bags ready forLadakhbut three days before the departure, the production housedecided to start shooting. So obviously I had to cancel my plan. No complaint except for that my friend kept on sending pictures to make me jealous.

Facts people don’t know about you…
You can say I am a loner. I love being alone and love my company. I may look innocent but I am not. I remember this dialogue of Varun Dhawan in this context, ‘Main lagtahoon bade swami type ka, but hoon bade harami type ka’. Lol.

Idea of an ideal companion…
Hahaha. Every two years my idea of ‘ideal’ keeps on changing. Actually with age yourealize what exactly is required for a happy married life. Gone are the days of dating. Now I think I need to settle down. I think right now my definition of ideal companion is that she should be compatible, need to havegood sense ofhumour, should not be materialistic and yes stand by my side during my difficult times. It is definitely a small requirement, right?
