Drashti's new show to replace 'Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein' ?
There is good news for Drashti Dhami fans, for according to sources Star Plus has zeroed in on the show, which will soon be axed to make way for Ekta Kapoor’s new show based on Manju Kapoor’s famous novel Immigrant. The show, which has Drashti in the lead, will go on floors with a four week schedule in picturesque Austria .
Panorma Films’s 8.30 pm show Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein , which just went on air in June will be shut down, as it has not really set the ratings on fire. If this news is indeed correct it will be a big blow to the leads of the show ie. Varun Tookey (who was dropped from Qubool Hai as well) and new girl Ishani Sharma. Ekta Kapoor, on virtue of her strong position in the industry, had wanted a good time slot, which the channel agreed. Star Plus also needs it’s fiction line up to fire, none of their recent properties have really clicked.
Budtameez Dil and Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan went off air in quick time. Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein seems to be following the same trend. Even not so long ago, limited series like Dehleez and Tamanna never got big numbers. Siya Ke Ram and Ishqbaaz are doing decent but not great.
Our attempts to contact the channel came to naught , while Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein producer Suzana Ghai sent a “Not been told yet” message, when we asked her if her show was indeed on the chopping board.
