Judge Remo D'Souza is very happy with the level of performances on Star Plus dance reality show Dance Plus 2 . “I have always maintained that a show runs only on talent, and we have oodles of that on our show. Every year the level of difficulty only goes up and unfortunately those contestants who can’t match up get left out .”
When pointed out that Dance Plus 2 is also dong well on the ratings front, he says “ Audiences appreciates reality hence we try to be as honest as possible ”
So you feel other dance shows are not real? “ All the shows of which I have been a part of (some season of DID, Jhalak) were real. But I have heard some shows do bend the rules. I really don’t know.”

He also credits the new dancing boom in India to reality shows “There is so much awareness even among the audiences, forget the participants. They know all the various kinds of dance forms. The biggest beneficiaries of this boom is Bollywood. We have got a large number of fresh, talented choreographers to try out. I have already selected one group and if more match up to my requirement, I will give them opportunities as well.”
In closing Remo says he looks out for passion and seriousness about dance in contestants. “The talent factor is looked at by the mentors.”
