Media is full of stories that all is not well in the marriage between Ankita Bhargava and Karan Patel. Apart from the name of possible third angle i.e. Kamya Punjabi which is doing the rounds, we also received information that Karan hardly spends any time at home. He even does not have meals with his better half much to her chagrin. The fly on the wall further added that a loving Ankita wanting to spend some time with her hubby, drops in at his Yeh Hai Mohabbatein set. This also apparently does not go down well with Karan who ticks her off in private.

Armed with this information we called up Ankita, who laughed it off saying. “I am amazed. Maybe my maid is giving out stupid information.Being an actor I make it a point to never visit his set, there is no need for me to do so. I have hardly gone there four times since we got married ten months back. Once was for our six months anniversary. Last I had gone on Valentine’s Day to gift him something.Here I will admit that earlier Karan would get upset that I was not coming to his set. He has since then given up.”

She goes on to declare unequivocally, “There is nothing wrong between us. He goes to work and I kiss him good bye. As for him being busy, this is the moment for him to make hay while the sun shines and I am all in support. Whether he works eighteen or twenty hours, finally my hubby returns to me right! As for food we try to share at least one meal together, which can be as late as seven the next morning or ten at night.”

We then ask her point bank about the public perception that is a Casanova and can a leopard ever change his spots? “I don’t thinkmy hubby had such an image and if someone tells me about it now I will not believe it either. This trust stems from the fact that I know him very well and am equally aware that the industry is full of retards who talk crap.Have there not been thousands of marriages,breakups and divorces. What makes us so special that we are being repeatedly targeted?Is it because we have something really special going? All said and done, we are two normal people who having put their past behind have embarked on a new journey,”

How do you deal with this backlash?“Ignore, I spent first three month of my marriage tackling online bashing.If they claim to be Karan’s fans, why talk shit about him? This was followed by the break up news every other month.”

She addressed the elephant in the room in the following way, “How can you be so judgmental about someone’s entire life based on just one relationship. Is it not too much? Has somebody ruined anyone else's life? They just went their separate ways. Did it cause a cataclysmic change that he went on to marry me? ”

“It hurts to see so much garbage being thrown at him. Karan is such a nice guy. Do you know how much he cares for his staff and unit? Our doctor treats all of them for free. He does not like to brag about the stuff he does. I will stand by him and give it back to anyone who dares to attack him. I also believe in the mantra that if you wish ill for someone else, it comes back to haunt you,” she ends.
