The current season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa does not have audience voting. Judges Karan Johar & Farah Khan seem quite happy with the development.

Karan Johar says“ Earlier we would be skeptical of who would go ahead or who be left behind, as people would vote for their favourites, which would sometimes impact the good contestants. Now when the studio audiences vote, they are influenced by what we are saying. As a result correct choices are being made , audiences did make mistakes before. ”

Co-Judge Farah Khan adds, “ I am really looking forward to absence of SMS voting for often we would be shocked by the eliminations. Over the seasons I have seen different voting patterns eg. India voting for one while a particular state or fan base going the other way. ”

Producer Myleeta Aga says "There are many changes in the line up, which you will see in the play out. We constantly keep innovating as per standard practice in line with international seasons. The eliminations will be based on studio audience and judges voting .”
