Varun Dhawan / Rohit Dhawan latest Actor / Director brothers combo

Dishoom has got rave reviews with both audiences & critics alike and the soundtrack is soaring the charts.

Trade Pundits are eagerly awaiting to see what the bro & bro combo of Varun Dhawan (acting) and Rohit Dhawan (directing), has been able to create on Screen.

In fact, they have to live up to a past wherein, many a time, two brothers have joined hands - one behind the Camera and the other before it - and ended up creating an exceptionally exciting cinematic experience for the audience.

Going back in time, one remembers how Chetan Anand directed younger brother Dev Anand to a huge box office glory in ‘Taxi Driver’ and then, the third Anand sibling, Vijay Anand directed Dev Anand in tremendous blockbusters like, ‘Kala Bazaar’, ‘Jewel Thief’, ‘Johnny MeraNaam’, and the iconic ‘Guide’.

Similarly, Raj Kapoor directed younger bros, Shashi Kapoor in ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ and Shammi Kapoor in ‘Prem Rog’ – both films hitting the nail with viewers, fabulously. Then, Shashi Kapoor directed Shammi Kapoor in his ‘Ajooba’ and later, keeping up the Kapoor tradition, Randhir Kapoor directed Rishi Kapoor in ‘Henna’. Besides the Kapoors, Sunny Deol directed younger sibling Bobby Deol in ‘Dillagi’, albeit with mixed results.

And now, with ‘Dishoom’ being beamed nationwide, the Janta-Jury will be out to decide whether the latest Bhai-Bhai combo has matched up to the historic feats achieved by the previous such Jodi’s in the past.
