I can go the whole hog in Jhalak - Shantanu Maheshwari
Dancer /Actor Shantanu Maheshwari is quite excited about his upcoming Colors dance reality show Jhalak Dikhaa Jaa. "I am very happy to have Jhalak as my first GEC reality show . I am also the first actor from the youth brigade to be on the show.” Shantanu was first noticed in Channel V dance show Dil Dosti Dance(D3). He also was part of the international dance show Bindaas Naach. The best part of Jhalak's format is that you are not rated on your individual (each round ) performances per se, but how much you have grown in your dance journey on the show. We get to learn some much new . ”
Here he adds that, “Being a dancer will make my Jhalak sojourn a tad harder for knowing the craft the judges would expect much more in terms of visual differences in each round as compared to what a non dancer will be expected to deliver week on week.”Among the various dance forms on display Shantanu considers Hip Hop his forte,“ And I find ball room dancing a challenge as I have not done it before .”
Coming to his choreographer Alisha he says, “ We have worked together in D3 hence there is a certain comfort level and we know each other’s strengths and weakness which should make our Jodi stronger on the dance floor. I am confident that if I give my best I have it in me to go the whole hog.”Besides Jhalak Shantanu is also a part of MTV fiction show Girls on Top. Although I will be open to fiction, but dance will remain my priority .”
