One more anchoring assignment after multiple seasons of 'Dance India Dance' and other show
There are  many actors on TV but less  anchors.  I am among the few who can entertain people.  I   keep getting offers and  hope  to  do justice to Voice of  India Kids as well.  A good host should not think much,  you hardly get 0.02 seconds to get your comic  timing right.  The spontaneity has to be spot on.

You seem to thrive in one liners, what is your funda?
I don’t  like Santa Banta types jokes. My mojo is  real life  situations.  

Working with kids?
It is fun  for they love you for who you are and not what.  Plus they always have a repartee.  

You seem to be away from taking part in reality shows?
After having won Nach Baliye 5  I  don’t feel the  need to prove my talent.  Also taking part in  reality shows is tough , if something goes wrong  and you're eliminated it  is not nice.  I also take my job very seriously and go about the contest like a maniac, rehearsing  from morning to night. I  know  I am not a good dancer, but a hard working one.  Wifey Mahi  Vij would always  tell me to ease up.

You are also away from TV fiction as well. Your last fiction show was Kairee...Rishta Khatta Meetha way back in 2012?

Daily shows require minimum written commitment of one year which is tough given my film work .Right now I am considering two film projects. 

TV vs films ?
In TV it's out of sight is out of mind. On the other hand one good film is enough for you to be remembered for the next five years .  e.g..Ayushman  Khurana is still remembered for Vickey  Donor.  I  want to do quality work  so the ticket paying audience  gets it’s money worth. Remember ticket prices are steep.  

How do you see your film journey?

Super. My debut film Hate Story 2 become a super hit. Ek Paheli Leela also did decent at the BO. So producers know that I am a bankable actor. 

You seem to thriving on erotica. Is it cos Dessi Kata did not do well?

You can call Hate Story 2 a proper erotic. As for Ek Paheli I did not have any kissing and intimate scenes. Rather I was anti hero there. Also in the latter Sunny Leone film, out of 2 hrs 20 minutes run time, proper erotic part was just two minutes. 

Web series is the new in thing !

Yes I am toying with producing the same. If the story is good I might act with Mahi. The best part here is that you are not restricted by the regular TV format . You can have a different ending i.e. the hero or heroine sleeping with someone else in the end.
