Since 2012, the United Nations marks 11 October as the ‘International Day of the Girl Child’. The day promotes Girl Child's Human Rights & the fight against Gender Inequalities. CocaCola & MTV has decided to celebrate this day in their flagship program MTV CokeStudio featuring a duet song by Renowned Singer & Union Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation Babul Supriyo and his teenage daughter Sharmilee Supriyo.

The song is composed by 'Piku' fame Anupam Roy and written by Javed Akhtar. Babul is an MTV Award Winner himself for his debut album 'Sochta Hun' and Anupam is co-writing the English lyrics that will be sung by Sharmilee Supriyo. The episode will also have two other interesting song which includes a Bengali folk featuring a Bard (Baul) from Bengal and Anupam Roy with Babul Singing the Bengali Folk lines which is translated and written by Javed Saab; and a Solo by Babul, written by Prasoon Joshi and tuned by Jeet Ganguly.
