Imagine a 5 month baby falling into a pan with hot oil. Imagine him going through excruciating pain and staying in the hospital. Not being able to see himself in the mirror and hiding in the four walls of his house.

Now imagine the same boy, all of 11 years of age, not bothered about his physical appearance and full of zest and confidence. That’s Gaurav Sharma for you, a boy who has made this horrific accident as a motivation and has learnt to live life to the fullest. He learns singing and has learnt all the lyrics and tunes from TV. He loves playing badminton and cricket with his society friends and makes sure he assists his father to the farm everyday where he plays with mud, helps him out in farming and picks up pumps. If this wasn’t inspiring enough, now imagine him singing a Bhagat Singh Song in a narrative style and talking about patriotism.

“I was taken aback by the dedication and devotion he has for the country. Such attitude and never to die spirit is rare to find. This sure is enough to give me jitters. I had goose bumps and I could feel my hair rising. What a voice. What a confidence. What a fighter and what an inspiration. He is a true Bhagat singh follower and a patriot and fighter like him. I salute this young soldier who wants to go on the border and fight for his country. If we have a couple of more youngsters like him, trust me our world would touch the sky," says Salim Merchant.

Vishal Dadlani adds, “ By remembering Shri Bhagat Singh, you have made this platform a pious one. Shaheed Bhagat Singh was such a courageous man, who not only sacrificed his life for his country but it’s because of freedom fighters like him that we are living here in this open and free country. I bow my head and with all humility pay homage to him. And by singing this song, Gaurav just won my heart and made me completely emotional.”

And the praises just didn’t stop here. The judges were so moved that they couldn’t stop clapping. Shalmali couldn’t help herself from crying and Vishal just couldn’t control himself from running to the stage and hugging the young soldier. The three of them really got emotional when on being asked what would he want to become, Gaurav without a blink replied that he wants to be an army man to serve his country.
