Anas Rashid who plays the role of Sooraj in the show Diya Aur Baati Hum is having a hard time shooting these days. The talented actor who had hired a personal trainer to look his part of a kabaddi player on the Star Plus show, sprained his ankle while doing a sequence. It was during a kabaddi scene when he fell and injured himself and a doctor was immediately called on set. He advised Anas bed rest for ten days but being a thorough professional that he is, he took pain killers and resumed shooting.

Anas says, “We were shooting a crucial scene and unfortunately I had a bad fall. The doctor said I needed to rest but how could I delay the entire shoot? It affects the schedule of the entire cast and I don’t want the show to suffer at my cost.” Speaking about the professional players which have been called on the show for authenticity, he says, “There are real kabaddi players on sets whom I have approached like ten times already for tips, they are so helpful! They have given me valuable insights of the game which I am incorporating in my acting. I hope the audience recognizes all the hard work that is being put in the show.”

With new entrants Rituraj Singh as the kabaddi coach and Riddhi Dogra as the team owner, the track is one of the most important tracks of the show.
