Trapped in Nepal!

As after-shocks of the Nepal earthquake continue to hit all of North India, National Geographic Channel is set to premiere ‘Trapped in Nepal’ - a documentary on one of the world’s biggest natural calamities that has so far claimed more than 8,000 lives. Featuring first-hand accounts from real survivors, user-generated footage from several teams on-ground in Nepal, this hour-long special reinstates Nat Geo’s focus on investigative story-telling to examine the human cost and share astonishing stories of survival with viewers all over the world. This Nat Geo special directed by award-winning producer/director Dick Bower will use world-class CGI to illustrate the anatomy of an earthquake and will showcase the latest findings from the world’s leading geologists to establish what can be done to identify when and where the next earthquake might strike.

Swati Mohan, Business Head, NGC Networks and FOX International Channel said, “The magnitude of the tragedy in Nepal has touched people all over the globe. With ‘Trapped in Nepal’, Nat Geo will not only reveal the science behind this tragic news story that has impacted all of us in the past few weeks but will also investigate the magnitude of loss to the country and share stories of escape, survival and challenging relief operations in all the most affected regions of Nepal including the devastation caused by the multiple avalanches on Mount Everest.”

‘Trapped in Nepal’ is scheduled to premiere on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 9 pm on National Geographic Channel.
