After a lot of speculation and confusion, Rituraj Singh has been finalized to play the role of a kabaddi coach in Diya Aur Baati Hum. The show which airs on Star Plus, will be having a special track based on a kabaddi tournament which is one of its most important storylines till date. All three, Puneet Issar, Shahbaz Khan and Riturajj Singh were contending for the role and Rituraj has bagged it.

He says, “I’ve always been into sports so when I was offered the role, I didn’t think twice before giving it my approval. I don’t believe much in gymming and working out, for me I play my quota of sports for the exercise." He adds, “We are shooting a little outside Mumbai and it feels great, the place is green and for kabaddi we need big pitches to play on. It gets a little hot in the day, but it’s a part of work so.” On asked if he’s actually coached ever in real life, he quips, “I was the captain of my football team in college so I do have experience in leading a team but coaching is altogether a different thing! I will give it my best though, now let’s see how successfully I coach my team on the show!”
