  Sarwat Gilani  is winning the hearts of viewers with the portrayal of happy-go-lucky Haniya of Meri Jaan Hai. Not many people know that this talented actress is also a professional interior designer. Sarwat owns an interior designing firm called Naqsha and is a full time architect as well, a multitasker par excellence. Sarwat’s character Haniya is an architect by profession in Meri Jaan Hai Tu. With both architecture and interior designing being intertwined professionally, Sarwat drew immensely on her experiences as an Interior Designer to get the finer nuances of playing an architect on screen. “It came to me as a surprise when I heard that my character Haniya becomes an architect in the second half of the show, me being a trained interior designer. It made me realize that everything we do in life, is for a reason, sometimes not known to us instantly.” says Sarwat with a smile.

 Meri Jaan Hai Tu traces the story of a happy-go-lucky-girl, Haniya, a second generation immigrant in USA and the ideal guy, Ibad, who migrates to the United States to pursue his education. Destined to be together, Haniya and Ibad enroll in the same University and an impassioned love blossoms on the college campus. The journey of Haniya & Ibad narrates the tale of how love is boundless and so is the experience of those who seek it.
