Kanika Maheshwari aka Meenakshi of Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum was much missed by the audience. The Rathi house seemed very sad without her plotting and scheming yet another mischief because the actress who delivered a baby boy on April 4, was on a maternity break but has now joined the show again. Says Kanika, “I have really missed my show and all the crew during my maternity break. I am back on the show but will be shooting in break as the production doesn’t want me to stress so much. I got a very warm welcome from all of them and also they have all been very supportive and caring towards me. Right now I am shooting alone but may be when the baby grows up I might bring him on the set,” commented the new mother Kanika Maheshwari
To accommodate Kanika’s pregnancy, her character on the show was also shown pregnant. And while she was on her maternity break, Meenakshi and her husband, Vikram (Karan Goddwani) were shown to be out of the country for some trip. Now that Kanika is back, the track to has started hinting at her return.
