Zindagi actresses salute the spirit of Womanhood
Zindagi, India’s only premium Hindi Entertainment channel, has always showcased strong woman characters with beautiful stories and brilliant acting. On the occasion of International Woman’s Day, reputed Zindagi actresses give out their wishes to women across India.
“ I one wish is for every girl child to be educated”, wishes Samina Peerzada - veteran actress seen in cult favourite Zindagi shows like Dhoop Chaaon, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Noorpur ki Rani. She adds, “The message that comes across from what Zindagi is showing is that economic empowerment is the only way forward for the women of the world”.
Mehreen Raheal, known for her roles in Mastani Mahi, Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Kaisi Yeh Qayamat wishes that all women “believe” that they are beautiful, magical, witty and sensitive. “They have power to alter our future by educating their young and encouraging positivity! A woman’s smile can melt hearts and courage can conquer worlds….So ladies believe”, she adds.
Rubina Ashraf who stole the Indian viewers heart with her sensitive portrayal in Mera Saaya says, “I hope and wish that all the women of the world realize their potential and strength and know they truly are the ones that are making this world go round not only by working in their homes and offices but most importantly by raising their children you be the productive individuals that are pillars of any society”
She adds, “I am truly indebted and a huge fan of Zindagi for introducing Pakistani drama to Indian screens. And I admire the fact that Zindagi chooses to portray women in strong and positive characters.”
