As Mian Gulam Fareed of Aaj Rang Hai, Noman plays the role of the only surviving heir from the Malkana’s lineage. Gulam Fareed comes from a staunchly patriarchal household set in rural Pakistan and believes that only a man can run the family or a country. He believes women are non-entities and exist to fulfill the pleasures of men. As Gulam Fareed not only does Noman bring out the epitome of villainy but brings an almost animalistic ferocity to the character that is extremely believable. Aaj Rang Hai that premiers on Zindagi on 3rd February 2015 at 10.30pm is an extremely gripping story that revolves around enmity and the power struggle between two brothers and their families and how women suffer because of their animosity. Set in rural surroundings the story revolves around the families of two estranged landowning brothers, Mian Yakoob and Mianji. Their children are married as Vatta Satta (exchange marriage). The story highlights the plight of women in a male-dominated society and how they invariably seek the help of peers and so called spiritual healers. The cast features a star filled ensemble of great talents like Noman Ijaz, Saba Qamar,Yumna Zaidi and verteran actor Sohail Ahmed

Sarwat as Zoya in Dil e Nadaan essays the role of the money hungry other woman that destroys her neighbors’ marriage, tears their family apart and is still dissatisfied even after she enamors her neighbor’s husband.
