Chetan Hansraj’s second innings on Jodha Akbar!
Having quit the show almost two months ago after his track as Adham Khan ended on the show, the hunky Chetan Hansraj will soon be seen making a come-back in Zee TV’s historical magnum opus – Jodha Akbar. Returning as his own son – Haider, in the show, Chetan is glad to be back on the sets. Talking about his new character and his comeback in the show, Chetan said, “Haider’s character is quite an interesting character, because he has always nurtured hatred for Akbar, knowing Akbar murdered his father. On the other hand, he was good friends with Akbar’s son Salim. The audiences will surely enjoy watching me play Haider as he brings along a lot of interesting twists in the show." A seasoned actor, Chetan has received immense appreciation from audiences and critics alike for his negative roles. Talking about playing a negative character, Chetan said, “There is far more challenge in playing a baddie. There are various shades to a grey character, and my current role is one of a shrewd, conniving, conspiring man who longs to get even with the man who he holds responsible for his father’s death.”
The show’s cast will see a lot many new additions apart from Chetan, as it takes a seven year leap. While Jodha (played by Paridhi Sharma) and Akbar (played by Rajat Tokas) will continue to play their parts, various new characters will be introduced in the show as the adult Salim, Anarkali and his other cousins. With the leap, the show will take a new turn and will focus on the life of Salim and his love-hate relationship with Anarakali.
