Jacqueline at Milan Luthria’s Family Race!
Jacqueline Fernandez today added an additional dollop of Bollywood glamour to the usual swish set at the horse races in Mumbai joining ace Director Milan Luthria, Mr. Mohan Mariwala, MD Autohangar group, Mr. Abhijeet Pandit, Group CEO Autohangar group, as the guest of honour for the Metro Motors Auto Hangar Sir H.M. Mehta Million that is named after Sir H.M. Mehta, who was ace director Milan Luthria’s great grandfather in-law. It has been in existence for several years as the RWITC's tribute to Sir Homi who was a racing aficionado and knighted by King George V in 1923 for his many contributions to industry and his extensive charitable works.
The race has traditionally been a pointer to the Indian classics, and this year has been upgraded to a reward of a million rupees for three year olds. Poised to take place at the peak hour of 4 pm at the racecourse, the race is one of the most attractive in the season. In previous editions of this very prestigious event, leading ladies of Milan Luthria’s films have graced the event including Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Kangna Ranaut adding glamour to complement one of Mumbai’s prettiest venues.
Milan Luthria said, “Racing and horses are my first passion! I have been riding ever since I can remember and is traditional to spend the weekends at the racecourse with family. Liane’s family has had a long history with racing and it’s a love we both share.” Jacqueline added, “Everyone is aware of Milan’s love for horses, and that he is very passionate about races. I am delighted to have been part of the very prestigious Metro Motors Autohangar Sir H.M. Mehta trophy, this year. It was a fun afternoon!”
Mr. Mariwala, MD, AutoHangar Group, “AutoHangar has been the pioneer of unparalleled customer experiences, through our showrooms, service centres, events and associations. The brands we represent are the epitome of performance, luxury and excellence, something that is in absolute synergy with the event we see here today. Racing is where glamour and speed come together, so sponsoring the Metro Motors Auto Hangar Sir HM Mehta Trophy, in its third year, is a great association for us.”
