The story deals with the trials & tribulations that she goes through psychologically as well as from her family & society.When she finds out about her pregnancy, the drama showcases how the peace and tranquility of a closely knit happy family is destroyed with the arrival of a newborn girl in the family.

Premiering on December 3 at 08:55 PM, ‘Mera Saaya’ will feature some of the very well-known names of Pakistani drama industry. Veteran actor Rubina Ashraf plays the role of the protagonist Sahlia, a devoted mother who loves her kids and is equally loved and respected by her kids. Sahlia’s motherhood is put to test when she is pregnant at 50 years of age. Waseem Abbas (who was last seen in Zindagi Gulzar Hai) plays the role of Qasim, Sahlia’s husband. Qasim is a loving husband and a responsible head of the family. He stands by his wife through every thick and thin.
