To add to MAHABHARAT’s growing followers – renowned director, Sooraj Barjatya of Rajshri Productions who has been the mastermind behind box office hits like Maine Pyaar kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain is all praises for STAR PLUS’ new rendition of Mahabharat.

Known to be a man of few words, the maverick director shares his views on the television series – Mahabharat which has been mounted on a large scale. Sooraj says, “Shri Krishna had then explained to Arjuna the theory of karma through the 18 chapters of Shri Baghvad Gita and today we have Krishna telling us how to live and enjoy the little things which make living a joy. Thank you Star Plus and Swastik Productions for such a wonderful concept of telling this evergreen story of Vedvyas. Mahabharat is a sheer delight to watch, its VFX is unparalleled, the war scenes, the settings, the details are a treat to watch. My compliments to the writing team too for keeping the dialogues simple and yet full of grace of that era. All the actors including Sameer (Shantanu), Arav (Bheeshma), Sayantani (Satyavati), Ratan (Amba), Puneetji (Parshuram) etc have done wonderful. Saurabh makes a great Krishna.”
